About the session day

Weather and rain dates:  Rescheduling due to weather is solely up to the photographer.  Sessions may be rescheduled for rain, wind, heat or cold. Location change may also be suggested. Cloudy days are 100% acceptable for photos. I usually do not shoot if it’s under 50 degrees or over 80 degrees. Clouds are good!

What to expect at the session

We will start off with posed family images to make sure we get the smiley shots. I will then try to interact more with the kids to get them to express themselves and capture them in their moments. We will run around or explore the area and get them to interact with the environment. They may take some time to warm up which is normal when they meet someone new. During these times, I try to make friends with them. If they don’t cooperate it’s ok, I keep working on it and try to get the shots in the moments I can. I bring some candy that is photo and allergen friendly and promise a allergen lollipop when we are finished. Things usually are happier when we don’t use threats or bribe them and say things like smile or no ice cream tonight!
